Italian Fitness Show collects goods for abandoned children Tortoreto, Italy

  • Image shows chidren and adults meeting to receive goods collected from the fitness show
  • Lucia, the president of "Bambini di Betania" Charity

Medical Sport customers and trainers organised a fitness show to collect fresh food, milk and clothes for the local home caring for abandoned and abused children. The home is called ‘I bambini della Casa di Betania’, which translates to ‘The children of the house of Bethany’. The house provides children with the ability to re-discover the beauty and innocence of childhood.

How did it start?

Every year we organise a big event to help the community.

Objectives

Simply to collect as many goods as we could in order to make the children happy.

Why is this project important?

The vision of our company is to contribute to a ‘happier life’ so events like this fit perfectly with what we believe in.

Project resources

Our team and many customers were involved with preparation that started three months before the event.

Project results

We collected enough fresh food, milk and clothes to fill a Red Cross truck. We may have organised the fitness show but the children were the evening’s star attraction.

Gymtopia Comment

A beautiful project that demonstrates the true meaning of a business being at the centre of its community. A business of any size is capable of organising an event like this. The recipe is quite simple; add a great cause, sprinkle a pinch of compassion and then add people that care enough to make it happen.
